Master Thesis in Midwifery Science (MJOMAS)

The master’s thesis in midwifery is an independent scientific work, either in the form of a monograph or a scientific article. The master’s thesis can be based on the entire field of midwifery expertise.

The subject consists of master’s seminars and a written assignment equivalent to 30 credits*

A project plan for the master’s thesis is prepared in the second semester. The project plan should highlight the study’s significance for the midwifery competence areas and midwifery practice.

Either quantitative or qualitative design can be chosen as a methodological approach. A literature study using the methodology applied for systematic reviews or meta-synthesis is also possible.

*30 credits are equivalent to 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits.
