Content

The course covers different levels of knowledge required for optimization of performance of industrial assets, systems, and processes, as well as its management. The course is divided into two modules. In the first module, theories, principles, and practices within selected areas will be discussed that have implications on the effective and efficient management of industrial assets, systems, and processes. The second module is dedicated to the application and reflection of the knowledge on practical cases / projects to facilitate further development, advancement, and application of knowledge. The course will comprise of relevant articles (and books) on the subject matter. The issues that will be taken into the second module studies can be varied depending on the scope of the individual Doctoral projects.

Learning outcome

A broader and deeper understanding on foundational issues and practices related to effective and efficient management of industrial assets, systems, and processes. It is also expected that the students will develop basic skills for review of other perspectives and for defense of own ideas.
