Report and an oral presentation. Both parts of the assessment must be passed in order to pass the course.
The student has to write a report and give an oral presentation on the same topic. In agreement with the student, the supervisor of the PhD student defines the topic at the beginning of the course. The report may, e. g., be an internal report or a congress abstract. The oral presentation accordingly may be official or unofficial (with or without audience). The decision regarding format, the length and structure of the report and for the oral presentation is made by the supervisor.
