The following themes are covered:

- the reseource based perspective
- corporate strategy
- functional strategy
- manufacturing strategy
- strategy implementation
- strategic change
Learning outcome
The course introduces basic strategic issues that organisations face, and presents various perspectives in order to develop a complete understanding of the challenges an organisation needs to deal with. One perspective is the competitive environment, in which an organisation operate. Another is the organisation's internal reseources and capabilities. In particular, the emphasis is put on what actions are suitable for an organisation in certain situations to gain competitive advantage. The students will develop abilities to analyse situations, strategic alternatives and knowledge to implement strategy in the organisation.
