Practice work/ Internship.
The registration deadline for the practical training course is 20. August. The application is assessed by the faculty, and approved if the prescribed prerequisites are met.

Learning outcome
The course is a supplement to other topics, and when the student has completed the course, the following objectives will be achieved:
Knowledge: Increased insight into selected topics and issues and in working life practical challenges.Account for tasks and working methods in the current company
Skills: Increased ability in professional collaboration, as well as specialization in certain topics and present them in a convincing manner.Inserting into assigned tasks and solve these
General competence: Reflect on their own knowledge and learning, and reflect on their own role in collaboration with others. Adapt with the requirements that are set in working life

The student hands in a report (incl. signed time sheet) on her/his internship. This report is presented to the students and teachers at an agreed time and place.
The course has a continuous assessment. All parts must be passed to obtain a final grade in the course.

Practice
Practical training is compulsory. The student has to submit a certified timesheet in order to get the practical training approved. Practical training has to be approved in order to be able to submit a final report and receive assessment in the course.
There must be a formal contract between the practical training institution, the student and UiS. This must be signed and submitted to the course coordinator by September 1st.
