Course
Norwegian Language, Culture and Social studies for International Students, Level 3 (HNO230)
Norwegian Language and Culture is a full-time study programme for students for whom Norwegian is not their first language and who will study in Norway. The subject is the second in an upper secondary school course in Norwegian language, culture, literature and society and further builds on knowledge and skills acquired from HNO220 (B1). The programme requires fulltime study and is difficult to combine with other study programmes or work. Successful completion of the HNO230 exam qualifies the student for enrolment in study programmes at universities and university colleges in Norway (level 3/B-2 level). HN0230 is offered as an individual course in the autumn, and in the spring the course is offered as part 2 of the one-year programme.
The objective of this course is to expand knowledge and skills relating to Norwegian language and culture, both receptively and productively, with a high level of precision in general and academic situations.
