Ecology and environmental science (MLJ110)
This course introduces ecological systems thinking, terminology, and simple analyses. We focus on global environmental systems and discuss how environmental problems arise, are analyzed and solved.

Learning outcome
The aim of this course is to introduce basic ecological and environmental system concepts, terminology and system mechanisms, disruption of ecosystem functionality and structure, and fundamentals of environmental reasoning and thinking. All topics are covered by quantitative calculations, and descriptive mechanisms are supported by quantitative arguments.
