Professional Skill BootCamp (MSB001)

At the start of the master’s program, students will have an opportunity to attend a BootCamp. During the BootCamp, students will participate in sessions designed to set them up for successful completion of their master’s degree and learn essential skills for today’s work life—how to negotiate like a professional, and how to bring the best out of teams. Students earn a certificate for completed BootCamp that will be attached to the transcript.

  • Describe factors that affect communication, collaboration, and processes in teamwork
  • Compare different approaches to negotiation
  • Discuss the essential conditions to establish a successful team
  • Identify different leadership styles and how they can affect team performance
  • Describe techniques to manage group dynamics and conflict

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Exhibit behavioral traits consistent with the theoretical knowledge of building effective teamwork
