This advanced course offers a comprehensive exploration of leadership and HRM strategies in contemporary organisations. The course stresses the importance of students comprehending, communicating, and applying theories in leadership and HRM. The content covers key aspects:
- Exploring the contributions of leadership and HRM in organizational settings.
- Understanding the significance of leadership and HRM for employee success and satisfaction.
- Investigating how leaders and HRM can enhance the organizational climate and drive change.
- Identifying specific strategies that leaders and HRM can employ to cultivate a supportive workplace environment and promote positive employee behaviour.
Learning outcome
Knowledge: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to
• Remember fundamental challenges and concepts in organizational leadership and HRM research and practice.
• Summarize leadership, HRM, and organizational behavior, drawing from various scientific theories and concepts.
• Critically evaluate empirical findings and concepts, recognizing limitations within specific phenomena or questions.
