Content

This course is a practical training course where the the student participates in a professional environment outside the university, for instance in a company or as part of a larger, approved student project such as Ion Racing/Drillbotics. A suitable position or project must be found by the student. Student projects must be agreed with the responsible staff for the student project. The intention of the course is to give the student practical experience and to enable immersion into selected topics connected to the company's practice. An agreement between the university and the company, describing tasks and supervision has to be signed.

  • Increased ability to work in teams in a professional environment
  • Immersion in given topics and to be able to present these in a convincing manner
  • Apply methods learned in the study program to specific tasks

  • Follow demands and requirements in the work life

Forkunnskapskrav

Must have completed a minimum of 90 credits according to approved education plan. In addition, the following courses must be passed: MSK100, MSK200, MSK210, MSK220

The student must submit a critically reflective report (incl. signed timesheet) on their practical training. This report is presented to students and teachers at an agreed time and place.

The course has a continuous assessment. All parts must be passed to obtain a final grade in the course.

NOTE: According to Regulations relating to studies and examinations at the University of Stavanger section 3-10 point 2, a student has 2 attempts in this course, with the opportunity to apply for a 3rd attempt.
