Content
Introduction to different types of medical equipments used in healthcare for both diagnostics and treatment.
Learning outcome
After taking this course, the student should:
- Understand the significance of the bioelectrical signals found throughout the body
- Understand the principle behind and know the medical equipment for measuring pressure and flow in circulatory physiology
- Be able to explain how ultrasound can be used to both measure blood flow over the years and to crush kidney stones.
- Understand the principle behind and know the medical equipment for measurement in the lungs (spirometry)
- Understand the principle behind and know the medical equipment measuring blood gases and gas in breathing air.
