Well Integrity and Permanent P and A (PET675)

The course considers well integrity and permanent plug and abandonment of wells. The priority is given to hydrocarbon wells but geothermal wells are also discussed.

Learning outcome

Have insight into the different phases of a wells lifecycle including drilling, completion, production, intervention.

Have knowledge about drilling equipment and well logging tools.

Be able to perform hydraulic calculations both for hydrostatic pressure, pulling capacity, mechanical friction and fracture pressure.
