Learning outcome

The student should: Know some basic concepts of elementary linear algebra.Be able to solve systems of linear equations. Solve eigenvalue problems.Be able to analyse convergence/divergence of series. Find the Fourier series of a given simple function. Introduction to a computer software program. Have some basic knowledge of multi variable calculus.

Method of work

6 hours lecturing and 2 hours colloquium with exercises per week, compulsory hand in assignments. Mandatory work demands (such as hand in assignments, lab- assignments, projects, etc) must be approved by subject teacher three weeks ahead of examination date.
