Green Energy Transition: Applied Learning Experience (MSB405)

As our global economy pivots towards sustainable energy, the roles businesses, governments, and investors play are paramount. Through this immersive course, students will delve into the green energy transition. Students will interact with energy sector firms, governmental bodies, and investors to navigate the complexities of the sustainable energy shift and learn how to apply analytical tools and concepts from various business fields to solve specific business challenges. The course thus offers firsthand insights into the challenges and opportunities of the green transition. Through the applied learning experience, students gain practical experience and networking opportunities, positioning them as future leaders in the green energy revolution. To prepare themselves for employment, the students will be trained in practical skills, such as oral presentations.

Lectures and company visits. Can be compressed into 1-2 months to accommodate participating students from abroad.

Åpent for

Students who wish to participate in the course should register on Studentweb. Students must also submit a letter of motivation to the UiS Business School. The letter should explain, in one paragraph, why the student wishes to participate in the applied learning experience. In the event of high demand (the course has maximum of 15 places, applicants will be prioritized based on their letter of motivation and grade point average (GPA).

Emneevaluering

There must be an early dialogue between the course supervisor, the student union representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester.In addition, a digital course evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
