Dette er emnebeskrivelsen for studieåret 2024-2025
The course covers different levels of knowledge at a more general level required for optimization of design, utlization, and operations of industrial assets, systems, and processes, as well as its management. The course is divided into two modules. In the first module, theories, principles, and practices within some selected areas will be discussed that have implications on effective and efficient engineering and management of industrial assets, systems, and processes. The second module is dedicated to the review of selected practical cases to facilitate further understanding and use of knowledge. The course will comprise of relevant articles (and books) on the subject matter. The issues that will be taken into the second module of studies can be varied depending on the learning needs.
Learning outcome
A general understanding on foundational issues and practices related to effective, efficient, and safe engineering and management of industrial assets, systems, and processes. It is also expected that the students will develop necessary skills for review of other scholarly perspectives and for defense of their own ideas.
