After completing and passing the exam, candidates must have acquired the knowledge, skills and general competence that enable them to:

Master's degree in performing music or equivalent. Approved audition.
The English language requirement must be passed in accordance with UiS regulations.

Final performing exam in the autumn semester, with a repertoire of approx. 30 minutes. For instrumental/vocal students, the programme may include chamber music, but the main focus must be of a soloist nature. It may also contain, for example, orchestral excerpts for use for auditions for professional ensembles.The exam for conducting students is a final concert in which they conduct an ensemble.
Repertoire from previous exams cannot be used, with the exception of major works where parts have been previously performed.
Vilkår for å gå opp til eksamen/vurdering
100% compulsory attendance at classes. Participation in internal and external concerts and projects is also required to some extent. The subject demands students' independent effort and discipline.
To be able to take the exam in the subject, the student must have approved all mandatory work requirements.

A repertoire list must be delivered on Canvas by the announced deadline.

Working methods will be concentrated on individual teaching/ensemble instruction, individual work, accompaniment, concerts and dissemination activities, repertoire knowledge, chamber music, projects, workshops, master classes and interpretation.
Students are responsible for keeping up to date with information on Canvas.
