Learning outcome
After completing the course, the student will:
Knowledge:
- Have advanced knowledge of key concepts, theories, principles, and methods within the field of risk and safety.
- Understand the relationship between the risk assessment process, risk assessment methods, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
Skills:
- Be able to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various theories and methods within the field of risk and societal safety.
- Be able to apply fundamental risk-related concepts, methods, and analytical tools to practical and theoretical problem-solving within the area of societal safety.
General Competence:
- Be able to apply risk-related knowledge and skills to various application areas related to societal safety, including technology, organization, and society
- Be able to discuss requirements for and develop systems for risk and safety management in organizations and societal sectors.
- Be able to communicate about risk and safety-related issues, analyses, and conclusions.
