Course

Health, Safety and Environment (TOL120)

The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introduction to key theories, ideas and discourses regarding health, safety and the environment (HSE).

All Norwegian enterprises in both the public and private sectors are required to establish systematic HSE improvement schemes. The requirements are extensive and mandatory, and they must be met with insight into and understanding of concepts such as risk, safety and vulnerability, as well as modern HMS management, including expertise in the use of adapted HSE methods and tools. The course provides increased insight into and expertise in modern HSE understanding, and the organisation and practice of HSE.
