Introduction to Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical quality control (SQC) methods, Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, metrology, subtractive manufacturing [CAM, CAPP, GT, CNC programming - OKUMA and MAZATROL], Additive layer manufacturing ( metal 3D printing and welding fundamentals), Production and manufacturing assembly systems and lines, Robotics applications in manufacturing and fabrication systems.

- Statistical process and quality control techniques
- Subtractive manufacturing techniques (Lathe and Milling)
- Computer aided manufacturing (CNC programming 'ISO and conversational', GT and CAPP, etc.)
- Metrology (use of coordinate measuring machines CMM and other basic measurement techniques)
- Additive manufacturing (metal 3D printing & micro welding) and welding quality solve
- Lean manufacturing principles
- Production and manufacturing line analysis
- Robotics in manufacturing and fabrication systems
