Learning outcome

After having completed the course the student should be able to:

  • understand the language of anatomy
  • understand the structure and function of cells and tissues
  • state the principles of homeostasis within and between tissues, organs and the bodyfunctions
  • understand the importance of blood
  • know the structure and function of the heart and ciculatory system
  • know the principles of immunology and temperature-regulation of the human body
  • give a description of the human nervous system and special senses
  • understand the priciples concerning
  • know the principles of Endicrinology
  • have an understanding of the principles concerning digestion, nutrition and the urinary system
  • know the structure and function of bones, joints, skeletal and musculary system
  • give a description of the human organs

After having completed the course successfully, the student will have knowledge that can be applied in further biomedical studies and research projects.
