Learning outcome
After having completed the course the student should have an important basic knowledge regarding human anatomy and physiology, and how this knowledge can be useful when one is considering biomedical issues. Knowledge regarding the organ’s and body’s anatomical structures and their fysiological and biochemical prosesses, so the body can function as one unit.
- understanding the anatomical terminology
- understanding the structure and function of cells and tissues
- state the principles of homeostasis within and between tissues, organs and bodyfunctions
- understand the composition and functions of blood.
- know the structure and function of the heart, cardiovascular and respiratory system.
- know the principles of acid-base balance, immune system and temperature-regulation of the human body.
- have an understanding of the human nervous system and special senses
- understand the priciples concerning endocrinology
- understand the principles concerning digestion, nutrition and the urinary system
- know the structure and function of bones, joints, skeletal and musculary system
- Male and female reproductive anatomy and physiology, human development and heredity

Emneevaluering
There must be an early dialogue between the course supervisor, the student union representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester. In addition, a digital subject evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
